Lage:
The Tauplitz is famous for fabulous winter landscapes, comfortable ski lodges and wonderful sunny locations. The cottage is located in a very secluded area, amidst the skiing region, 42 km slopes, ski schools, hiking- and cycle paths start directly in front of the cottage. In summer you can reach the cottage with your car (toll). In winter we recommend to park your car at the parking area (charge as per 2019: 30,-/week) in Bad Mitterndorf which is 4.5km away, buy your ski pass and take the bus to the valley station of the cable car Mitterstein. The cottage is located below the mid station, reachable by walking over the slope or skiing down (just a short way). The owner helps with his skidoo to transport your lugguage ( 25,-). You could drive your car until the Schönialm (toll road and parking fee 30,-/week) - 250m below the cottage - from here you can take the snowcat (starting at 5 p.m. after the ski lifts close) to reach the cottage (lugguage included about 80,-).
Entfernungen:
Skiing- and hiking region directly in front of the cottage, skiing school next to the cable car station, winter hiking trail, the town Bad Mitterndorf is reachable in 8km, Tauplitz in 14km and Bad Aussee in 25km. Farmed hut in winter only 250m away. In summer you can enjoy the hiking region at the Tauplitzalm where you find 6 crystal-clear mountain lakes and farmed huts. Tip: cycle downhill the Tauplitzalmstraße (alpine road) to Bad Mitterndorf, along the Salzkammergut cycle path until you reach Tauplitz, then take the cable car uphill (transportation of the bike is for free) and cycle across the sun plateau, drive past huts and mountain lakes until you reach the cottage again.

You live on the upper floor: living room with seating corner, chimney, satellite TV and kitchenette with electric stove, oven, fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine, water boiler. 2 double rooms, 1 shower/toilet. Heating with wood stove and electrically. In front of the cottage are seating possibilities, a barbecue grill and sun loungers. On the ground floor is an empty barn. Enjoy the wonderful panoramic view from the Dachstein to the Grimming and the Kamm.
Nebenkosten:
Lump sum for electricity 35,-, local tourism tax currently 2,50/person/night, final cleaning 60,-, pet 10,-/night. Bed linen can be rented for 7,-/set and towels for 3,-/set. Additional bed 10,-/night. Please note the separate tolls, parking fees 30, - / week, transport fee Skidoo 25, - or snowcat 80, - depending on the chosen kind of arrival.
