Romantic villa with, private pool, jacuzzi and various terraces set in a Tropical Garden with lush vegetation.

Our quiet and romantic villa is situated in a beautiful tropical garden with many fruit trees, such as coco, banana, orange and mango. Imagine yourself waking up in the morning taking a fresh dip in the pool, before having fresh coco juice from the coco itself. Or you can enjoy your coco with some rum in the Jacuzzi at night while watching the stars. This is all possible when staying in our home.
The villa has three bed rooms. Each bed room has an “en suite” bath room with a luxurious shower (with side jets) and all bed rooms have a queen size double bed. If you are travelling with small children, we have a baby cot and a small Winnie the Pooh bed available if needed.

The luxurious kitchen is fully equipped with an “American” French door refrigerator with a water and ice machine and is further fully equipped with a dish washer, micro wave, 5 pits furnace. In the kitchen you will find a table that seats six and a small bar for three persons. But you will probably find yourself more sitting outside on the terrace overlooking the garden while having something to eat. We have two separate tables in the garden where you can sit, eat and enjoy the view.

About us:
We (Griselda and Daniel) are a Dominican-Dutch couple living in the Netherlands. This romantic villa is our second home and we try to go there when ever we can. When we are not in our little paradise, we have Griselda’s father and the rest of the family taking care of the house. These people will be more than happy to take care of all your needs and this may be a great opportunity to get to know some typical Dominican people when you are there.

Arrival:
Julian (Griselda’s father) will be the one picking you up from the airport and taking you to the villa in order to help you get settled. Naturally he will be more than happy to assist you with any of your wishes, if you desire so.
From the airport to the villa is a short 20 min drive before you can take a refreshing dip in your own private pool.

Security and safety:
The villa is situated in a gated community and has 24 hour security. We have a little 2 year old daughter and have never felt unsafe. Actually we know of one of the neighbours (she lives there permanently) that she never locks the doors. Though this is a clear sign of how a single woman feels regarding the security around her house, we would recommend locking the door when you leave.
Even though life in the Dominican Republic is not unsafe in general, common security measures that you would take at home as well are advised. Mainly when dark, do not walk alone in secluded areas, clearly showing your wealth (golden chains, cameras etc.) On the other hand, it is safe to walk around the centre of Sosua or Cabarete at night.

Included Services:
In order to make your stay as pleasant as we possible can we have tried to make the fee for renting our villa as clear and easy as possible and have this fee include as much services that you may have to pay separately for with other house owners. Therefore you have the Airport pick up and drop of at Puerto Plata airport included.
Next to that Juliana will come by twice a week to clean and change the sheets. The sheets and towels are also included as is the phone, wireless internet, cable tv, water and electricity.
With our wireless internet you can sit with your laptop in the garden next to the pool if you like to check your email.
Our cable tv gives around 130 digital channels, next to the local ones, many international ones from Europe as well as the US. You can watch tv in the living room or in two out of three bed rooms.
Phone: Local calls are included, if you would like to call abroad you have the possibility to buy credits (from the phone company). Please ask Julian for details. But the phone can also be used for people from home to call you. If you would like to have a sim card for your mobile phone, please ask Julian.

Extra services:
While we have done our best to include as many services as we can, we understand that you may have specific requests that we have not included in our Included Services. We have listed some possible requests in this document. This however does not mean we are complete and this is all that can be offered. Please do not hesitate to ask Julian or any of the other people for a special request. Not alone will they be more than happy to help you out, but also this is a good way for them to make some extra money. This way you are enjoying your holiday even more, while helping the local economy.
Therefore we would like to state that (apart from the car rental) al other extra services will be paid to the people themselves. We will not make any money, nor get a commission from them on this.

Car:
Even though public transportation is nearby, cheap and regularly available, we do offer the option to rent our personal car. This is a 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche. It is a beautiful car with a dvd/tv in the back seat and is big enough to easily transport 6 adults. For those do who not know the car, it’s a big pick up truck and in the back you can easily transport your surf or diving equipment. Since this is a 4wd so you will be able to visit more remote areas.
In order to keep the fuel costs at a minimum we have installed a LPG tank (0,25 Eur per liter against Eur 0,80 per liter).
The car has insurance and two drivers are allowed to drive.
We only rent the car with the house and do so for a special price of Eur 50 per day. This includes insurance, 2 drivers and unlimited mileage. The only thing is that we will have to apply an own risk of Eur 300 per incident and we request a deposit for the same amount.

Driver/Tours:
In case you would not like to drive yourself of would like to take a tour, Erminio (our brother in law) is a professional taxi driver specialized in taking (day) trips with tourist. He can take you in his own taxi or take the Avalanche and will do all he can to make your trip unforgettable. Feel free to discuss with him your wishes and pay him directly once you have agreed upon a price.

Professional cook:
If you would not like to cook yourself, you have the possibility to ask for Dada who is a professional cook at one of the restaurants in Cabarete to prepare your meals. Just tell him what you want and he can prepare it.

Grocery shopping:
If you do not want to do your grocery shopping yourself, some one can do this for you, or assist you with it.

Cleaning:
We have a cleaning service of two times a week that is included in the rental. If you have any extra requests, such as washing your clothes or doing the dishes, Juliana will be more than happy to do so for a small fee. You can pay her directly and by doing so you will support her and her family.
